Neural Architecture of Social Emotional Processing and Regulation in Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Dynamic Connectivity Perspective
This study delineates the temporal dynamics of the neural networks underlying social behaviors and emotional processing in relation to the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and its social traits. Participants will be asked to complete several questionnaires and computerized tests as well as complete various tasks during MRI scans. Data collected from this study can help us to better understand the underlying brain mechanism(s) of social-emotional processes and to learn more about the development of new neuronal markers for treatment mechanisms and response prediction. Furthermore, it might help to develop and explore diagnostic tools for ASD and other developmental disorders.
We are currently recruiting young adults, ages 18-40, with and without ASD diagnosis to this NIMH-funded MRI study.
