What Does a General Neurologist Do?
A general neurologist is a medical doctor who is trained in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of your brain, spinal cord and nerves. Our general neurologists are board certified in neurology. Similar to your primary care provider, a general neurologist will serve as the coordinator for your care, either treating the condition or referring to a specialist.
When you see a general neurologist at the Ayer Neuroscience Institute, you can expect a thorough history, physical exam, analysis of data already collected, a formulation of your case (diagnosis) and a plan for further evaluation or treatment.
