What We Treat
OnMed CareStations can address almost all of the issues that your regular primary care provider can, including:
- Colds and flu
- Respiratory illnesses
- Allergies
- Headaches
- Heartburn
- Infections
Need care beyond what OnMed CareStations offer? Your provider will connect you with additional services, including screenings, tests, immunizations or referrals to specialists. Prescriptions can be sent to your preferred pharmacy — or even filled on-site if you’re visiting an OnMed CareStation at Stop & Shop.
Who We Treat
OnMed Care Stations offer health visits for patients ages 2 and up.
What to Expect
The OnMed CareStation looks much like a doctor’s office, with a small waiting area and a private room for your visit. If the room door is open, you’re welcome to walk in.
Gettting started is easy:
-
Press “Start” on the screen.
-
A certified nursing assistant (CNA) or medical assistant (CMA) will greet you virtually.
-
They’ll guide you through the intake process, including:
-
-
Activating privacy features (the door will fog and lock for your comfort).
-
Reviewing consent forms and collecting your medical history.
-
Verifying your ID, insurance, and payment.
-
Recording your symptoms and checking vital signs.
After intake, you’ll meet with a licensed OnMed clinician via secure video for your diagnosis and treatment plan. The CareStation’s high-definition camera allows the provider to closely examine your skin, eyes, ears, and throat as needed.
Once your visit is complete, the provider will unlock the door. The station will then be briefly closed for cleaning before the next patient.
Payment Information
Hartford HealthCare OnMed CareStations accept most major insurance plans. Check with your provider or the station for specific coverage details.
