Here’s What To Do if You Need, or Have, a Doctor’s Appointment

March 18, 2020

A message to patients from Dr. James Cardon, Hartford HealthCare Chief Clinical Integration Officer:

Dear Patient:

COVID-19, the new coronavirus, has affected all of us. To protect the people and communities we serve, Hartford HealthCare has put in place these policies and procedures for staff, patients and guests.

If you have an upcoming appointment at one of our doctor’s offices or clinics, please follow these new safety measures:

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please do not visit the office:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Runny Nose
  • Chills
  • Sore Throat
  • Body Aches

If you have any of the symptoms listed above, call your provider before going to the office — even if you have a scheduled appointment. The medical team there will discuss your symptoms and provide instructions for the most appropriate next steps.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together during this difficult time. Hartford HealthCare wants to make sure you continue to get the care you need — safely and conveniently.

Sincerely,

James Cardon, MD
Chief Clinical Integration Officer
