Stroke Center teams in Hartford HealthCare hospitals across the state combine two essential traits: skill and compassion. Because of this, we treat more stroke patients than any other hospital in Connecticut, and double the national average.
Every stroke is unique, so this expertise and our access to specialists in other fields as part of the Ayer Neuroscience Institute makes us uniquely capable of helping a wide range of patients, and provide the most efficient and aggressive care plans to return them to their lives as quickly and fully as possible.
Our specialists meet weekly for Stroke Council meetings, which draw together a variety of Ayer specialists to review patient cases and determine the best possible course of treatment.
