Our “Individual Support Services” component of Special Needs Services addresses adult goals of “playing” (recreating) and “learning” in the community for those individuals for whom paid employment is not a desired or attainable goal.
An individual may transition to this program directly from a public education-funded school program or enter the program at any time during his or her adult life, including the senior years. Individual Support Services provide participants with opportunities to choose from a Monday to Friday schedule of activities that build self-esteem, independence and community participation skills. Program placements are available in Stratford.
Individuals enrolled in Work Services and Individual Support Services programs are funded by the Department of Development Services.
