Our Family Support staff comine their personal and professional experiences to assist families with specific questions and concerns by offering community resource information and advocacy support, as well as the empathetic ear of “someone who has been there”.
Some of the support we provide:
- Information and Referral
- Crisis intervention
- Family to family networking
- Parent education programs
- Transition Support
Additionally, a Hispanic translator is available by appointment and an on-staff Chaplain, by request, to assist with crisis intervention and provide spiritual counseling at all stages of life, loss or bereavement.
The Family Center sponsors information programs and parent coffees about a variety of topics of interest to families of children and adults with developmental and complex medical needs and distributes a quarterly “News You Can Use” information packet about community resources and topics relevant to the families we serve.
Support Services can be accessed by calling the Family Center directly, or through attendance at the parent support and information programs we sponsor.
