The Tallwood Urology and Kidney Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut our urologists are specialists who provide care through every stage of adult life: Whatever you age, a problem with the male or female urinary tract can happen to anyone.
Because Urology Services treats an extraordinary range of clinical problems – erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, congenital abnormalities, urinary tract stones and diseases of the kidney, prostate, ureters, bladder and adrenal glands – proper care demands knowledge of multiple medical specialties and the latest technology.
If your treatment includes surgery, we’ll use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible. The Hospital of Central Connecticut, since 2010, has used the da Vinci Surgical System in highly precise robotics-assisted surgery that uses smaller incisions associated with minimal scarring. We now have two da Vinci robots for procedures that, studies have shown, reduce hospital stays, increase recovery times and a diminish the need for narcotic pain medications
Patients also benefit from our affiliation with Hartford Hospital’s Tallwood Urology and Kidney Institute, which has assembled six disease-management teams — urologic oncology, kidney stones, pelvic health, men’s health, general urology and chronic kidney disease — for improved coordination of care and consistency of clinical outcomes throughout the Hartford Healthcare system.
