How the Resource Center Can Help
We have selected a wide variety of resources designed to give you and your family accurate and accessible information about cancer treatment and survivorship.
No matter where you receive care through the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute, you can access the Resource Centers and find a rich array of information that is free and relevant.
During patient appointments, your family members can find a quiet space to read and learn more about managing cancer treatment.

Resource Center Locations
We offer Patient and Family Resource Centers at the following locations:
Backus Hospital: Resources, internet access and printing capabilities are available in the Resource Center in Radiation Therapy every weekday from 7:30AM to 3:30PM There is also a boutique across the lobby from the Radiation Center that is open weekdays from 8AM to 4:30PM
Hartford Hospital: The Oncology Patient and Family Resource Library, located in the Hartford Hospital Conklin Building, second floor, Room 202, features a quiet room full of resources. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Hospital of Central Connecticut: Resources, Internet access and printing capabilities are available for patients in the Resource Center, which is open whenever the Cancer Center is open.
MidState Medical Center: The resource room is in the cancer boutique on the first floor in the Cancer Support Services Department. This center, which offers cancer-related literature, is generally open from 9AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday.
